EXCLUSIVE: After a stellar run in theaters that saw it come in as the highest-grossing film in the history of Sony Pictures Animation, Sony’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has set its Netflix premiere date. One of the top grossers of the year at a take of over $690M worldwide, the film bows in the U.S. on October 31. Details as to rollout in other territories haven’t been disclosed.

UPDATED: There will be no third season for Apple TV+s The Afterparty. The streamer has canceled the murder mystery comedy series after two seasons, Deadline has confirmed. The decision comes a month after Season 2 ended its run.

Update: The Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell romantic comedy, Anyone But You, is now opening on Dec. 22 instead of Dec. 15. New release date gives the feature the potential to play into the Christmas four-day weekend; moviegoing always spiking after the holiday. Christmas falls on a Monday this year. First look image above was recently released. Anyone But You now opens in the wake of Warner Bros/DC’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom which hits theaters on Wednesday, Dec. 20. The 10-episode fourth season of Apple TV+ space drama For All Mankind will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, November 10, followed by one new episode weekly every Friday through January 12, 2024.

The lawsuit, filed in September 2022, claimed that Sony and Crunchyroll violated the U.S.’s Video Privacy Protection Act by disclosing subscribers’ personally identifiable information to Meta’s Facebook and other third parties — without the users’ consent. Sony denied that the service violated any law.
