The Sun, the 45-year-old – who was known as Little Richard or Finny – was homeless at the time and it is thought he may have been sheltering from the cold.Finn was well known in Grimsby and amassed more fans after he appeared in Skint, which followed members of the public who were unemployed or on a low income as they went about their daily lives.Many locals paid tribute after he died, saying he would be sorely missed.
His cousin Sammi-Jo told The Grimsby Telegraph at the time that he had "a heart of gold". "Though it's a shame Richard chose the path he did, he always had great spirit and a contagious character despite his demons," she said."Everyone loved him.
He had a heart of gold. He would do anything for anyone. Even for a pound," she laughed."He made everyone smile with that cheeky face!
