The Streets and Maisie Peters lead new names for Boardmasters 2024

The Streets, Maisie Peters and Ghetts are among artists that have been announced in the next wave of acts for Boardmasters 2024.Professor Green, Cat Burns, Future Utopia and Sammy Virji are also set to perform at the Cornwall surf and music festival from 7-11 August, joining the previously announced Stormzy, Sam Fender, Chase & Status, Becky Hill and more.The latest wave of acts completes the 2024 line-up, where hundreds of acts will perform across 11 stages at two sites on the Cornish Coast – Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach.The DJ line-up for this year is completed by Ewan McVicar, Eliza Rose, Hedex and Eskman, Andy C, Hannah Laing and more.Other artists set to perform at the 2024 edition include Bicep, Nia Archives, Tom Odell, Soft Play, English Teacher and Katy B.Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here. Stormzy, Chase & Status, Becky Hill lead Boardmasters’ 2024 line-up
Boardmasters 2024 have been announced, with Stormzy, Chase & Status and Becky Hill leading the line-up.Next year’s edition of the festival will be held between August 7-11, and take place on the usual sites on the Cornish Coast – Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach.Now, the first wave of artists set to appear at the 2024 installation have been announced, including the first two headliners of the event: Stormzy and Chase & Status.Although the exact dates that each will headline have not yet been announced, it has been confirmed that Chase & Status will be hitting the main stage at the Watergate Bay site, and delivering fan favourites as well as newer hits from the recently shared album ‘2 RUFF, Vol.1’.As for Stormzy, the exact site has not been confirmed yet, but the South London icon is expected to play hits from across his three chart-topping albums: ‘Gang Signs & Prayer’, ‘Heavy Is The Head’ and ‘This Is What I Mean’.Over 30 other acts have also been locked in for the 2024 edition, including Becky Hill, Bicep, Nia Archives, Tom Odell, Soft Play, English Teacher and Katy B.For Becky Hill, the 2024 edition of Boardmasters will mark the singer’s return to the festival, while for Bicep, the event will see the Belfast electronic music duo present their audio/visual DJ set called Chroma.DJ sets from Andy C, Eliza Rose, Hannah Liang and more are also lined-up, and “hundreds” more acts are set to be announced at a later date. London’s Printworks sees epic closing weekend, hopes to “return in three years”
confirmed that the 6,000-capacity nightclub and venue near Surrey Quays in London would close its doors after Southwark Council approved plans to turn the building into an office block.Nearly 12,000 people subsequently signed a Change.org petition in a bid to save Printworks, which opened back in 2017.In September 2022, the venue’s management, Broadwick Live, along with Printworks’ building owner British Land, issued an update in which they explained that the venue’s closure may not be permanent.The events space’s closing weekend comprised of “four events that embodied the venue’s history with huge special guest appearances from Bicep and Andy C” who joined “75+ more artists, DJs, live acts and more”, per a press release.During the final closing show yesterday (May 1) prior to Bicep’s set, the Printworks team surprised guests by announcing their intention to return in the future.Simeon Aldred, Director of Strategy (Broadwick), said: “We are delighted to announce that Printworks hopes to return in three years and that we will continue to work with our partners at British Land to create the future cultural venue that retains the essence of the iconic Press Halls.“Printworks has brought lasting impact to our scene, to our city, to artists and our local community. Wizkid set to headline London’s Yam Carnival 2022
Wizkid has been announced as the headliner of Yam Carnival 2022 in London.The Afrobeats festival, which celebrates Black music, culture and dance, will take place on Clapham Common in the capital on August 27.Wizkid will perform his only outdoor show of the year at Yam Carnival, with the slot following on from his trio of sold-out gigs at The O2 in London last year.The likes of Naira Marley, Flavour, Fally Ipupa, CKay and ShaSimone will also perform on the main stage at the festival.DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, Major League DJz, Focalistic, Vigro Deep, Kamo Mphela, DBN Gogo and Young Stunna will perform at Yam Carnival on its Piano People Stage.Limited pre-sale tickets for Yam Carnival 2022 are available from Wednesday (February 2) at 10am, before general sale tickets go on sale at 1pm on the same day from here.Yam Carnival will take place on Clapham Common the day before the new London festival Electric City, which will see Chase & Status headlining.The duo will be performing their brand new live show during their headline slot at Electric City, with the likes of Headie One, Andy C and Jme (presenting ‘Grime MC FM’) also set to perform during the day. Last month Wizkid shared a short film, Made In Lagos, to accompany his 2020 album of the same name.Wizkid also teamed up with Burna Boy recently for the track ‘B.
