Lily Allen has responded to a theory that it’s her voice and Fred Again..’s on e.motion’s AI viral dance hit ‘Somebody Else’.The mystery dance track was released by e.motion and soon went viral after being played by the likes of BBC Radio 1 and more. The music outfit later revealed that their debut track was generated by AI and music fans around the world have been speculating about who the voice in the track was – with Lily Allen and Fred Again being two of the top suggestions.As yet, it’s not clear if the voice is an AI version of Allen’s or Fred Again’s voice or if it has been recorded by another musician entirely.Today, BBC Sounds shared a clip of Allen discussing the track with friend and co-host Miquita Oliver as part of their Miss Me? podcast.“The AI version of you is taking over the charts!” Oliver says, commenting that it was “just everywhere,” before Allen responded.“My cousin Gracie was like, ‘Oh my god you’ve got a new song out with Fred Again’ and I was like ‘No I don’t!’ Allen explained.Expressing her surprise at the song, Allen said: “I don’t think it sounds like me to be honest! Public Image Ltd (PiL) have announced plans to release an alternative US mix of their debut album ‘First Issue’ on Record Store Day 2025.The “long lost” version of the 1978 record from the post-punk band, fronted by former Sex Pistols vocalist John Lydon, features mixes and re-recordings of tracks from the original album that were created during the 1979 sessions for their second studio album ‘Metal Box’.This version of ‘First Issue’ has never been released and it includes different sleeve artwork compared to the original version.According to the official RSD listing “an alternative version of ‘First Issue’ was initially intended for release by Warner Bros. in 1979, but it never saw the light of day.

Suede are set to share previously unreleased track ‘Blinded’ as part of their new ‘Sci-Fi Lullabies Vol.2’ collection for Record Store Day 2025.The forthcoming double LP serves as the follow-up to the band’s 1997 compilation ‘Sci-Fi Lullabies’, which features B-sides from the singles that were released from their first three albums.‘Vol.2’ was announced yesterday (February 6) as part of the extensive RSD ’25 list – also featuring exclusive vinyl drops from the likes of Oasis, Charli XCX, Fred Again.., The Cure, Gorillaz and Taylor Swift.These will be available when the annual event returns for its 18th edition on Saturday April 12.Announcing the forthcoming ‘Sci-Fi Lullabies’ follow-up on social media, Suede wrote: “This new collection of 19 B-sides and bonus tracks from the period 1997 to 2023 has been curated by Brett Anderson and includes the previously unreleased track, ‘Blinded’.“This double LP will be available on clear vinyl. Reading & Leeds Festivals have confirmed that a new announcement regarding the line-up is on the way.The 2025 edition of the dual-festivals is set to return next summer, and will run between August 21 and 24. It will be held at Richfield Avenue in Reading, and at Braham Park in Leeds.Following the 2024 instalment coming to an end back in August, the hype immediately began for the upcoming edition, with early bird tickets for the 2025 event going live on October 1.Now, organisers have traced the line-up announcement and confirmed that the first wave of artists confirmed will be announced in the next few days.“Okay, okay you can stop asking… First names for 2025 are dropping THIS WEEK,” the caption on a new Instagram post read.

Jorja Smith and Ashnikko have been added back to the Leeds Festival 2024 line-up today (August 24), after their sets scheduled for the BBC Radio 1 stage this weekend were in doubt due to its closure.The festival has updated its schedule following disruptions caused by Storm Lilian on its first day on Friday, leading to the shutdown of the BBC Radio 1 and Aux stages.Now, Ashnikko is set to perform on the Festival Republic stage at 5.35pm, while Smith has been moved to the main stage for a 3.35pm set.Aside from Smith and Ashnikko, among the acts scheduled for the BBC Radio 1 stage on Saturday and Sunday in Leeds were Confidence Man, Teddy Swims, Flo, The Wombats, and Overmono.Confidence Man confirmed in an Instagram Story today that they will not be playing Leeds this weekend, but will return for a headlining show in the city later this year.

Leeds Festival 2024 draws to a close on Sunday but the line up saves the best for last for many fans.
