Overmono, Nia Archives and Andy C are among the names announced for Bristol’s Love Saves The Day 2025.The city’s biggest music festival will return to Ashton Court on the bank holiday weekend of May 24 and 25, with Welsh electronic duo Overmono to top the bill on the Saturday and Nia Archives headlining the Sunday.Other names confirmed for this year’s programme include Andy C, Ghetts, Giggs, Skream & Benga and Wilkinson.They will be joined by Groove Armada, Shy FX, Mall Grab, Hybrid Minds, Pawsa, Camo & Krooked, Eats Everything, Eliza Rose, Netsky, Girls Don’t Sync, Chris Stussy, Enzo Siragusa, Job Jobse, Josh Baker and JYOTY.Tickets go on sale on Friday (January 24) at 10am and you will be able to find yours here.Festival director Tom Paine has said: “There’s nothing we love more than being back at Ashton Court to truly kickstart the festival season and 2025 is shaping up to be pretty spectacular.”“We’re really bringing some of the biggest and best names across the electronic music scene to the city for the bank holiday as well as some of the most exciting local talent out there. Spotify has claimed.Over the last couple of years, Drum ‘N’ Bass (or DnB) has experienced a resurgence – while the subgenre has always had a steady stream of dedicated fans, interest in it has boomed thanks to hits like Chase & Status‘ ‘BACKBONE’ featuring Stormzy, and their 2023 chart-topper ‘Baddadan’.In a new mini-documentary produced by Spotify titled DnB: In for Life, Charlie Tee, Flight, Kanine, S.P.Y. and more go through the genre’s oral history to discuss its impact and its roots.In the documentary, Spotify shares a statistic based on its user data that the “yearly average streams of the Drum ‘N’ Bass genre on Spotify have increased by 94 per cent since 2021”.Among Spotify’s Top 10 artists in the genre – per MixMag – are Chase & Status, Bou, Rudimental, goddard., Sub Focus, Charlotte Plank, Skepsis, Hybrid Minds, SHY FX and Nia Archives.According to Spotify’s data, 68 per cent of the genre’s listeners are below the age of 34, marking a significant interest from a younger crowd.

Nia Archives has curated a takeover at the Warehouse Project in Manchester – you can find all the details below.The producer, DJ and songwriter will return to the city’s Depot Mayfield venue on Friday, December 8 with her debut curated show, ‘Up Ya Archives’.Archives leads the line-up, and will be joined on the night by “the UK’s finest and freshest talents across DnB, jungle, dubstep, and UKG”. Acts include Shy FX, Skream, Yung Singh, Interplanetary Criminal and Salute.Fans can also expect a debut B2B set from Clipz and Special Request, among other names.

Shy FX has announced the revival of his label Digital Soundboy and details of the first record to be released on it.Next month, the producer and DJ – whose real name is Andre Williams – will release a collaborative EP with Breakage.The EP is titled ‘Darker Than Blue’ and will be released on April 23. The producers have previewed the record with the new single ‘Michael Knight’, which takes influence from the ‘80s TV show Knight Rider.
