Chase & Status, Becky Hill, Rudimental and a host of other artists have been announced as the first acts for BBC Radio 1‘s Big Weekend 2024.Ella Henderson, Diplo, Eric Prydz, Kenya Grace, Sonny Fodera, Dimension and Hannah Laing have also been confirmed for the opening day at this year’s annual bash which will take place at Stockwood Park in Luton from May 24-26.Tickets priced at £29.50 (plus a £4.50 booking fee per ticket) will go on sale at 5pm GMT this Thursday (March 21) and can be purchased here. Spotify has claimed.Over the last couple of years, Drum ‘N’ Bass (or DnB) has experienced a resurgence – while the subgenre has always had a steady stream of dedicated fans, interest in it has boomed thanks to hits like Chase & Status‘ ‘BACKBONE’ featuring Stormzy, and their 2023 chart-topper ‘Baddadan’.In a new mini-documentary produced by Spotify titled DnB: In for Life, Charlie Tee, Flight, Kanine, S.P.Y. and more go through the genre’s oral history to discuss its impact and its roots.In the documentary, Spotify shares a statistic based on its user data that the “yearly average streams of the Drum ‘N’ Bass genre on Spotify have increased by 94 per cent since 2021”.Among Spotify’s Top 10 artists in the genre – per MixMag – are Chase & Status, Bou, Rudimental, goddard., Sub Focus, Charlotte Plank, Skepsis, Hybrid Minds, SHY FX and Nia Archives.According to Spotify’s data, 68 per cent of the genre’s listeners are below the age of 34, marking a significant interest from a younger crowd.

The Streets, CamelPhat and Rudimental have been announced as the headliners of Love Saves The Day 2024.The iconic Bristol festival returns to Ashton Court this year from May 25-26 for a weekend of incredible dance music. Festivalgoers will be greeted with eight stages chock full of dance music’s biggest names – here’s the first wave of names announced to play.On Saturday, CamelPhat and Rudimental are set to play the main stage; they’ll be joined by the likes of Flowdan, Girls Don’t Sync, Groove Armada, Interplanetary Criminal, Katy B, Kenya Grace, and Shy FX.Meanwhile, Sunday will feature a special audiovisual show from Sub Focus, whilst The Streets will also round off the day with a performance.

EXIT Festival in Serbia, which is set to return to the city of Novi Sad in July.Headliners over the weekend are set to include Black Eyed Peas and Gucci Mane, with the remaining headliners set to be revealed in the new year.Also announced for the bill are Tom Morello, Carl Cox, Bonobo, Rudimental, John Newman and Dub FX. Stormzy is set to perform at the 2024 Formula One British Grand Prix.The grime artist will take to the stage at Silverstone on Friday, July 5 as part of an “unprecedented four-day festival line-up” at the legendary motor racing circuit.On Saturday (July 5), Pete Tong is due to present his Ibiza Classics set alongside Jules Buckley and The Essential Orchestra before Rudimental closes the weekend on Sunday (July 6).The headline and support acts for Thursday night’s Opening Concert will be announced in the coming weeks.Per a press release, the festival “will see Silverstone take its new-look music and arts offering to the next level – cementing the British Grand Prix as a summer highlight on both the British sporting and music calendar”.Nick Read, Silverstone’s Commercial Director, said: “Our long-term ambition has always been to establish Silverstone as a venue that attracts the biggest and best artists in the world to put on a spectacular show for the British fans.“It’s an honour to announce Stormzy, Pete Tong and Rudimental as the first names on our line-up for the 2024 British Grand Prix.”He continued: “We knew we had a massive job on our hands following the great success of this year’s music offering, so we are thrilled to be able to take things up another notch – with more huge global acts still to be announced!”Tickets for the 2024 British Grand Prix are available now – you can buy yours here.This year’s event saw performances from the likes of Calvin Harris, Tom Grennan, Cat Burns and Black Eyed Peas.Stormzy played his only UK show of 2023 last month as part of this year’s All Points East gig series in Victoria Park, London.His third and most recent studio album, ‘This Is What I Mean’, was released last November.

Glastonbury Festival 2023 have revealed the line-up for the West Holts Stage at this year’s event – see it in full below.As has become customary for the legendary event, after the full line-up drops they then announce new names stage-by-stage.In 2023, the West Holts Stage will be headlined by Kelis, Loyle Carner and Rudimental, all of whom were previously announced for the festival.
