Michael Kiwanuka, Faithless, Bicep and Jessie Ware have been confirmed as the headliners for Wilderness Festival 2024.The event will return to Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire on the weekend of August 1-4 this year. Other acts set to play at the festival include the likes of Bill Bailey, Oh My God! It’s The Church, Bjorn Again, Barry Can’t Swim, De La Soul, Alison Goldfrapp and more.Along with live music, Wilderness will also offer an extensive line-up of comedy, film screenings, Q&As, panels and more available for attendees to take part in.

Boardmasters 2024 have been announced, with Stormzy, Chase & Status and Becky Hill leading the line-up.Next year’s edition of the festival will be held between August 7-11, and take place on the usual sites on the Cornish Coast – Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach.Now, the first wave of artists set to appear at the 2024 installation have been announced, including the first two headliners of the event: Stormzy and Chase & Status.Although the exact dates that each will headline have not yet been announced, it has been confirmed that Chase & Status will be hitting the main stage at the Watergate Bay site, and delivering fan favourites as well as newer hits from the recently shared album ‘2 RUFF, Vol.1’.As for Stormzy, the exact site has not been confirmed yet, but the South London icon is expected to play hits from across his three chart-topping albums: ‘Gang Signs & Prayer’, ‘Heavy Is The Head’ and ‘This Is What I Mean’.Over 30 other acts have also been locked in for the 2024 edition, including Becky Hill, Bicep, Nia Archives, Tom Odell, Soft Play, English Teacher and Katy B.For Becky Hill, the 2024 edition of Boardmasters will mark the singer’s return to the festival, while for Bicep, the event will see the Belfast electronic music duo present their audio/visual DJ set called Chroma.DJ sets from Andy C, Eliza Rose, Hannah Liang and more are also lined-up, and “hundreds” more acts are set to be announced at a later date. Check it out below alongside an interview with the electronic music duo.The propulsive track arrives with B-side ‘Waterfall’ – an earlier, instrumental version of ‘Water’ – marking Bicep’s first brand new music since their 2021 album ‘Isles’.The Belfast-born, London-based duo – Andrew Ferguson and Matthew McBriar – told NME how the tracks were created during a studio jam session when they were writing new music for this summer’s live shows.

Bicep have released a new version of fan-favourite ‘Meli (I)’ called ‘Meli (II)’ and have unveiled details of a huge new London show.The new single is a 4×4 live-reworking of the beatless “Meli (I)” from their ‘Isles Deluxe’ release last year.Speaking about the re-working of the original track, the band said: “’Meli (I)’ was a beatless track on ‘Isles Deluxe’. Truth be told we just couldn’t get a drum version right in the studio throughout the pandemic, there were many failed demo versions whilst we were working on ‘Isles’, it just never felt like it worked.“We always knew there was room for this version though, hence naming the original ‘Meli (I)’. ‘Meli (II)’ was formed slowly on the road.

Lorde, Hot Chip, Bicep and more have been announced as part of the line-up for next year’s Forbidden Fruit festival in Dublin.The festival, which will take place at Dublin’s Royal Hospital Kilmainham on June 4 and 5, 2022, also boasts the likes of Peggy Gou, The Avalanches, Chet Faker and Princess Nokia, with more acts to be announced.

Slowthai, Bicep and Honey Dijon have all been announced for the re-opening of the newly renovated Forum Birmingham.The city centre venue, located at 52-54 Dale End, has previously operated under the names of The Ballroom, the Hummingbird and the Carling Academy Birmingham. The likes of Nirvana, Arctic Monkeys and the late Amy Winehouse have all performed at the venue in the past.Now, it’s been confirmed that all three acts will lead the charge when the venue opens its doors once more this summer.

Bicep have unveiled the deluxe version of their January album, ‘Isles’, which contains three additional tracks.The three new songs are ‘Light’, ‘Meli (I)’ and ‘Siena’ – the latter of which features previous collaborator Clara La San, who appears on two other ‘Isles’ tracks.Listen to the new songs below:On ‘Siena’, the duo said it “took many forms in the demo stage including much more melodic versions and multiple vocal directions”.“In the end, a much more restrained track felt best, letting Clara’s vocals shine. We’re both excited to develop this and explore the other versions in our live shows.” ‘Isles’ is Bicep’s second album, following on from their 2017 self-titled debut.
