Glastonbury Festival has announced the line-up for the electronic, disco and reggae-oriented Glade area, with Faithless, Fatboy Slim, Camelphat, Groove Armada and more all set to play.The area plays host to a huge range of DJs and other electronic-leaning acts. Faithless have issued a statement about their return, promising fans that new music and “special” live shows are on the way.The band announced their return to the stage recently, lining up their first run of performances since the death of founding member Maxi Jazz.Real name Maxwell Fraser, Maxi Jazz sang, played guitar and produced in the band, and died on December 24, 2022 at the age of 65. He fronted the band from its inception in 1995 until its breakup in 2011.

Faithless have been announced as the first act to ever headline Glastonbury 2024‘s Thursday night.The seminal dance band consisting of Sister Bliss and Rollo will return to the stage at Worthy Farm this year, where they will be inaugurated as the first ever Thursday headliners.Whilst Glastonbury has typically scheduled acts on smaller stages before the main action kicks off on Friday, it is the first time a headliner has ever been booked for Thursday – and Faithless’ post suggests they will be playing the Pyramid Stage.“Delighted beyond belief to be headlining Thursday night at GLASTONBURY!!” the band captioned a picture of the Pyramid Stage. “The first live band ever to do so… see you there”A post shared by Faithless (@faithlessofficial)It will also be Faithless’ first time taking to the stage since the death of former lead vocalist Maxi Jazz in 2022.

Michael Kiwanuka, Faithless, Bicep and Jessie Ware have been confirmed as the headliners for Wilderness Festival 2024.The event will return to Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire on the weekend of August 1-4 this year. Other acts set to play at the festival include the likes of Bill Bailey, Oh My God! It’s The Church, Bjorn Again, Barry Can’t Swim, De La Soul, Alison Goldfrapp and more.Along with live music, Wilderness will also offer an extensive line-up of comedy, film screenings, Q&As, panels and more available for attendees to take part in.

Faithless’ Sister Bliss has returned with her latest solo single, the euphoric house track ‘Do It Right’ – check it out below.The song arrived shortly after the announcement from Faithless of their return to the stage after an eight-year absence, which will take place at Camp Bestival Shropshire, which runs from August 15-18.Speaking about ‘Do It Right’, Sister Bliss has said: “I was really feeling the proper NY house vibes of legendary label Junior Boys Own, and I wanted to make a song which had that same sense of no-nonsense attitude and swagger, and a certain raw jacking edge to it. It’s been going down a storm, and also the Italo mix goes on a more trippy journey which is a great bridge between genres in my sets.”It follows on from another solo single from Bliss, ‘Life is a Melody’, last March.

Faithless‘ Sister Bliss has returned with details of a new solo single – ‘Life Is A Melody’ is out this week.The song, a collaboration with Hyacinth & Apollo, is the first new material to come from the Faithless camp since the passing of legendary singer Maxi Jazz at age 65 just before Christmas last year.Discussing the inspiration behind the new track and how it came together, Sister Bliss said: “It all started in a South London basement – I first saw Hyacinth & Apollo aka Grammy winner Jinadu & DJ/ producer Jem Haynes perform at a private gig in London I was DJing at – their live set totally blew me away”.“Following the liberating feeling of playing a huge number of festivals over the summer after multiple postponements due to the pandemic, I wanted to encapsulate that feeling of euphoria and intensity of being back on the road, and the power of music to bring us together once again,” she added.“I was inspired to reach out to Hyacinth & Apollo and when we got together to create ‘Life Is A Melody’ the alchemy was tangible.“Pre-save the new track ahead of its release on Friday (March 17) here.Maxi Jazz “died peacefully in his sleep” last December, his former bandmates confirmed in a post on social media.
