Mum branded 'lazy' for bulk making 40 sandwiches and freezing them for kids' lunches

When a mum shared her school lunches hack on Facebook, she probably didn’t expect to be criticised. The woman told other parents that she makes her kids sandwiches in bulk.

Ham, cream cheese and jam spreads are some of the children’s favourite fillings. The Australian mum prepares them, then freezes them.

Then, her kids can grab a few out of the freezer each morning, which saves a lot of time in the long-run. The parent explained: “The kids take them out in the morning and put them in their sandwich boxes and the sandwich bag goes back into the freezer ready to be used again (to stay environmentally friendly and cost effective).” While some praised the mum for thinking-up the time-saving hack, others weren’t so keen on the idea.
