Do your vegetables go off before you have a chance to eat them? Worry not – because there are ways to keep veggies fresh for weeks at a time.

Kate Freebairn, an Australian blogger who runs The Pantry Mama Facebook page, revealed how to do it. She recommended cutting carrots and celery into batons and popping them into mason jars filled with water.

To keep the veggies fresh, you must change this water every day. Apparently, when doing this, “celery will last up to two weeks and carrots up to one month”.
