A man has died and two women have been seriously injured in a crash during a 'kidnap' incident in Cambridgeshire. Five people have been arrested following the incident on Southgate Way, Peterborough, which happened at around 1.40am this morning.
The crash happened between a Vauxhall Astra and Mercedes Sprinter, reports Cambridgeshire Live. Police have now launched an investigation after a man, in his forties, died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle fled the area before emergency services arrived, police say. A police statement added: "Two women, aged 27 and 35, who are believed to have been in the Astra have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and kidnap.
