Emergency crews overnight have been battling a huge fire which broke out in Derby city centre. A number of roads around the centre of the blaze have been closed off by police, with residents being urged to stay away.
Dramatic pictures from the scene show huge flames leaping from inside the Friar Gate Goods Yard. According to traffic information company Inrix, the roads now closed include Great Northern Road, Uttoxeter New Road, Stafford Street, Friar Gate, and Agard Street.
Those nearby have also been told to keep their windows shut. DerbyshireLive reports the fire first broke out at the derelict warehouse at around 1am overnight.
