Tooting fire: Emergency crews scrambled to blaze as three floors up in flames

Fire crews are battling a blaze which has broken out at a house in south London. At least 60 firefighters and eight fire engines are tackling the flames at the property on Cowick Road in Tooting.

The cause of the blaze is still unknown, but at least part of the ground floor, first floor and a loft conversion are alight, according to London Fire Brigade (LFB).

In a statement, the Brigade said: "Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters have been called to a fire at a house on Cowick Road in Tooting. "Part of the ground floor, first floor and loft conversion of a terraced house are alight. "The Brigade's 999 Control Officers have taken 14 calls to the fire."
