Emergency services rushed to Buckingham Palace this evening following two separate road traffic accidents. One man has been hospitalised and another male cyclist in his 30s was treated by paramedics on site after apparently colliding with railings.
An eyewitness said the front side gate to the palace grounds were opened as police and ambulance crews attended to the incidents, which both occurred around 6.30pm.
He said: "There are three ambulance, and three police vans outside the palace. "It looks like two people have been hit on bikes." A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed two incidents occurred within the space of five minutes of each other.
