A suspected arsonist allegedly set fire to his nan's flat after dousing a room containing her two pet dogs in vodka. Dustin Sneed has been charged with arson and animal cruelty, after cops and firefighters were called to a blaze at Kingwood Circle, East Ridge, Tennessee, on May 5.

When officers arrived they found smoke coming from the house, the backdoor unlocked and evidence of a deliberate fire. The homeowner's computer and several other items had been destroyed in a bedroom, near where the fire began.

Court records allege Sneed then set fire to a bed in the front bedroom and deliberately led two dogs inside. According to an East Ridge Police arrest report a bottle of vodka was also missing from the home.
