Man City legend Glyn Pardoe dies aged 73

Glyn Pardoe, a key member of the great Manchester City team of the 1960s and 1970s, has died at the age of 73, the club confirmed on Tuesday morning.

Full-back Pardoe made over 300 appearances for City, winning five trophies including the league in 1968, the FA Cup in 1969 and both the European Cup Winners’ Cup and League Cup in 1970.

His debut, at 15 years and 314 days old, remains a club record for the youngest player to play for City. City tweeted the news of his passing, saying: "Everyone at City is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Glyn Pardoe.Our thoughts and condolences go out to his friends and family at this difficult time." Pardoe had been in the news again this season as his grandson Tommy Doyle made his senior debut
