Morrisons shoppers have hit out at the supermarket after one customer spotted the price of an every day item. Debra Marsden shared her shock on Facebook over the price tag on boxes of 240 Yorkshire Tea Bags, which she had spotted cheaper in Home Bargains.
She left fellow customers shocked to see that large boxes of the branded tea were almost double the price in Morrisons. Debra Marsden posted in a popular shopping group on Facebook after noticing the price difference between the two stores, BirminghamLive reports.
Sharing a picture of the price on the shelf at her local Morrisons, she wrote: "£8.25 Morrisons but only £4.49 in Home Bargains." The post was then met with hundreds of comments from outraged shoppers, with many saying that the price was 'appalling' and 'absolute madness'. Appalling. The gov needs to control what supermarkets can charge, they are making us all poor!" A second person wrote: "The world's gone mad." And another commented: "There is no way I would I pay that, daylight robbery!!" One woman branded the price tag 'absolutely madness', while another threatened a boycott, saying: "Absolutely disgusted.
