Man who died after being stabbed in Droylsden named as murder accused appears in court

Ian Bent, 47, passed away on Friday (August 6). This morning (Saturday), Dean Farrell appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court. READ MORE: The 21-year-old is accused of Mr Bent's murder.

Standing in the dock wearing a blue mask and grey tracksuit, Mr Farrell was flanked by two guards. He spoke only to confirm his name, age and date of birth.

Mr Bent, of Redesmere Close, Droylsden, was remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Manchester Crown Court on Monday (August 9).
