Joseph Henderson, 53, was found unconscious on Wilmslow Road on the afternoon of Thursday, 12 August. Police believe he had been assaulted a short distance away from where he was found, at the junction of Victoria Road in Fallowfield. Oscar Shepherd, 20, of Aldfield Road, Manchester, has been charged with manslaughter. He appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court on Monday (August 23).
