Man airlifted to hospital with 'serious lower body injuries' after van crash

A man in his 30s has been airlifted to hospital after suffering injuries in a car with a van. Emergency services were called to an incident at the A535 Macclesfield Road in the Jodrell Bank area at 10.38am on Wednesday, March 29.

Police said the cyclist had 'come off his bike' and collided with the van. He was rushed to North Staffordshire University Hospital with 'serious' injuries to his 'lower body'.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Constabulary said: "At 10.38am March 29, police were called to a collision on Macclesfield Road, Jodrell Bank, Cheshire Live reports. The cyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken by air ambulance to hospital with injuries which are believed to be serious." A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said they sent an ambulance, rapid response vehicle and the air ambulance to the scene of the incident.
