Vile teen blackmailed schoolgirls into sending naked photos

A Scots teen is facing jail for blackmailing terrified schoolgirls by threatening to kill himself if they didn’t send naked photos of themselves.Logan Donald targeted a string of teenagers whom he befriended over social media and believed he was a “nice” person.But the twisted 18-year-old put the girls through harrowing ordeals by making threats to harm himself if they didn’t send him nudes.In one incident, Donald, from Stenhousemuir, near Falkirk, spread jam on his arm and took a photo pretending it was blood from self-harming.In another he sent a video of himself at a bridge implying he was going to jump to his death.The victims, who were all 13, sent him explicit images after being traumatised by fear he would carry out his threats.Once Donald had photos, he threatened to distribute them if his victims didn’t send more.One teenager told how she’d attempted suicide three times due to the impact his crimes had on her.Donald appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday and admitted coercing victims to send him intimate photographs.Fiscal depute Joanna Walling said Donald communicated with the first victim in January 2020 over Snapchat, as well as Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.Ms Walling said the teen found Donald “nice to talk to” and entered into a 12-week online “relationship” which saw him profess his love for her daily.The court was told Donald started asking for nude photos and threatened to self-harm if she didn’t do it.Ms Walling said the victim was “concerned for his welfare” and sent one image of her naked chest.When the girl refused his demands for more, Donald threatened suicide, sending a video of himself near a bridge and leaving her convinced for a week he’d ended his life.The court heard Donald sent
