Lynne Taylor-Corbett Dies: Choreographer For Hollywood’s ‘Footloose’, Broadway’s ‘Titanic’ Was 78

Lynne Taylor-Corbett, the Tony Award-nominated choreographer of Broadway‘s Swing and Titanic who also left an indelible mark on Hollywood by guiding Kevin Bacon through his famed solo dance in the 1984 hit film Footloose, died of breast cancer January 12 at a hospital in Rockville Centre, N.Y., on Long Island. She was 78.

Khruangbin announce 2025 North American tour
Khruangbin have announced a North American headline tour for 2025 – you can find all the details below.The Houston psychedelic rock trio will hit the road this spring in support of their fourth studio album ‘A La Sala’, which was released last year.Kicking off in Grand Prairie, Texas on April 9, the forthcoming trek also includes shows in the band’s home city on April 12, as well as stops in Miami, Austin, Santa Barbara, Seattle, Denver, Boston and Portland.The new headline concerts are accompanied by some previously confirmed festival appearances, such as BottleRock in Napa Valley and Buena Vista Lake’s Lightning In A Bottle.Support at Khruangbin’s own gigs will come from Helado Negro and John Carroll Kirby at select dates.Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time this Friday (January 17) – you’ll be able to buy yours here. The National performed a cover of Echo & The Bunnymen‘s ‘Bring On The Dancing Horses’ with The War On Drugs‘ Adam Granduciel during a performance in Toronto this weekend – check out footage below.The National and The War On Drugs kicked off their co-headlining ‘Zen Diagram’ tour this month, which has so far seen them perform in cities across North America including New York, Columbia and Philadelphia.On Friday night (September 20), the bands performed at Budweiser Stage in Toronto where The National treated fans to their cover of Echo & The Bunnymen’s 1985 track ‘Bring On The Dancing Horses’ with special guest Granduciel.Check out fan shot footage of the performance below.The National also performed favourites like ‘I Need My Girl’, ‘About Today’ and ‘Fake Empire’ throughout their set.Over the coming weeks, the tour is due to hit cities including Chicago, Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Portland and Los Angeles before wrapping up in Mexico City.
