System Of A Down’s Shavo Odadjian has opened up about his shelved collaboration with KoRn‘s Jonathan Davis.The legendary metal band’s bassist and member of Seven Hours After Violet discussed why he decided to not release his joint track with the KoRn vocalist while appearing as a guest on the Las Vegas radio station KOMP 92.3.As Blabbermouth notes, Odadjian had reported back in April 2023 that the song would be released as part of Seven Hours After Violet’s self-titled debut LP. However, upon its release on October 11 2024, the song was not featured on the album’s tracklist.“Morgoth [real name Michael Montoya – and guitarist of Seven Hours After Violet] had a chorus he had sang for [Davis] a while back. ‘Cause he produces a lot of bands, and he’s worked with Jonathan Davis.

Also performing at “Back to the Beginning” will be Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Mastodon and a supergroup featuring Guns N’ Roses’ Slash, Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, Korn’s Jonathan Davis, Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, Wolfgang Van Halen and Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, who will also act as musical director of the concert.

Korn‘s Brian ‘Head’ Welch has shared an update on their next record.The US nu-metal band’s last studio album, ‘Requiem’, came out in February 2022, and since then they’ve been teasing a follow-up.Welch previously said that there would be new music coming in 2024, telling Loudwire: “Yeah, new music coming out next year. I don’t know, we’re just kind of in hiding right now, just doing our own thing.”But, now, he’s confirmed they won’t be releasing anything before the year ends. KoRn has teamed up with Adidas Originals for a second clothing collaboration.Last year, the nu-metal legends collaborated with the athletic apparel brand last year and released two pairs of sneakers – the Campus 00s and the Supermodified – along with seven pieces of apparel.Now, the two are collaborating again on a second drop with the sportswear brand which is set to arrive online and in select stores on May 15.The apparel will feature a green sequin tracksuit with co-branded details, exclusive to the Korn web-store. A long sleeve graphic tee with Adidas’ Three Stripes on the sleeves, three pairs of socks, and a cap which bears the KoRn logo and Three Stripes detailing will also be available for purchase.A new pair of sneakers will be available in the Campus 2 silhouette as well as the Supermodified sneaker.

KoRn‘s frontman Jonathan Davis has opened up on the band’s track ‘A.D.I.D.A.S.’ and reflected on the song’s “immature” meaning.While discussing the 1997 track – from the band’s 1997 LP ‘Life Is Peachy’ – with athletic apparel brand Adidas in a new interview, Davis expanded on the song’s acronymic title, which stands for “All Day I Dream About Sex” and pointed out a hidden sound within the song.“It was just a dumb song,” he said. “It’s just like, it was nothing.
