Jem Aswad Senior Music Editor It’s such a great idea, and so seemingly obvious, that it’s hard to believe no one had already thought of it: A line of horror and rock-themed pet products bearing the name Freak on a Leash, one of the most popular songs by long-running nu-metal pioneers Korn. “These premium products are created for all, paying homage to the horror and rock music we love,” singer Jonathan Davis, who created the line in partnership with promoter Danny Wimmer Presents and the non-profit animal rescue Take Me Home, wrote in an Instagram post. The series, announced last week, launches on Oct. 28 but had a preview at a special tent at the Aftershock festival in Sacramento. As the photos below show, the line runs from classy but low-key collars and leashes bearing just the logo, to items that more fully live up to the name, such as severed-hand or eyeball plushies.

Korn frontman Jonathan Davis has said that he is “still fatigued like crazy” after contracting COVID-19 last year.The singer, 51, tested positive for the virus last August, two weeks after Korn embarked on their 2021 US tour. As a result, the band were forced to cancel six of their scheduled concerts.Davis returned to resume the run of shows after recovering, but performed while sitting on a throne for the majority of the set.

KoRn worked on a new album during lockdown, the band’s frontman Jonathan Davis has confirmed.The band last released an album in 2019 with ‘The Nothing’. That record was their 13th studio album since forming in 1993.Speaking to Kerrang!, Davis said the group had used the enforced downtime brought about by the coronavirus pandemic to work on a new album.“We just got done writing a record,” he said.

Korn frontman Jonathan Davis has revealed how the nu-metal titans almost ended up with an extremely different band name in one of their earliest iterations.In a new interview with Revolver, Davis explained how the band almost opted for the most unlikely of monikers – Larry.“The Korn logo came about when we were trying to come up with a band name. Our manager at the time, Larry, we told him we were gonna call it Korn and he’s like: ‘You can’t name your band Korn'”, said Davis.“So we told him: ‘Well, we’re gonna name it Larry then,'” he continued.
