John Carpenter’s classic 1982 film The Thing featured an original score from legendary composer Ennio Morricone. Carpenter himself provided some additional music cues for the film to supplement Morricone’s score, and a new release features a collection of Carpenter’s unreleased music from the film.

Carpenter re-recorded the unreleased cues with his go-to musical collaborators, son Cody Carpenter and godson Daniel Davies, for the new record.
