Hero dog rescues injured pensioner, 91, in garden after horror fall on freezing night

dog came to the rescue of a pensioner lying badly injured in her back garden. Bearded Collie Fergus raised the alarm after the 91-year-old took a night-time tumble in perishing temperatures.

The pet rushed back to his owner to bark the alarm call which led to the discovery of the distraught pensionerShe was taken to hospital earlier this month but is now making a good recovery at home in Edzell Angus.The elderly woman has praised 12-year-old Fergus and his owner, Trish McGregor.She told the Daily Record her dog was in the back garden until around nine o’clock that night.She said: "He came back to the house and kept running in and out, barking all the time.
