EastEnders star Ben Champniss announced he has welcomed his first child with his wife Georgie. The actor, who plays Shrimpy on the soap, took to Instagram to share a sweet snap of their newborn baby who they have named Freddie Robert.

Georgie was holding the newborn while sat up in her hospital bed and Ben stood next to her to gush over the adorable baby. He revealed: "Introducing, Freddie Robert Champniss.

Born Saturday 24th July at 5.40pm. Weighing 7lbs. "Georgie is the coolest, most unbelievable person I know, and both her and Freddie are doing so well!! "We're so happy to finally meet you, Freddie!
