Dumfries Tesco Peel Centre staff back Dumfries and Galloway Standard Toy Appeal
dailyrecord.co.ukThe Standard’s Christmas Toy Appeal is in full swing with just under a fortnight left to donate a gift to help bring a smile to the faces of local underprivileged children on December 25.
Our six collection points will only accept toys, vouchers or chocolate treat gifts until Monday, December 11. This gives us time to collect and sort them ready for the various agencies we work with to get them to the disadvantaged children living on our doorsteps in time for Christmas Day.
Whatever you can give will make a huge difference – but they need to be handed in by Monday, December 11. So, please give what you can and do it as quickly as possible.
One of our collection points is the Tesco supermarket in the Peel Centre in Dumfries where community champion Jade McKerlie and all the staff and customers are spreading festive cheer and encouraging support for our toy appeal.
