Dundee's bus operator has issued an apology after being forced to cancel over 50 bus services on Friday due to staff absences related to the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
Xplore Dundee says the existing issue of driver shortages across the country has been compounded by the highly infectious new strain of coronavirus.
As a result of the spread of the virus - and new rules requiring all contacts of positive cases to self-isolate for ten days - the firm claims its hand has been forced, with dozens of scheduled bus services binned.
