Rail services will be disrupted this week as ScotRail begins a temporary reduction in services. The rail operator has been forced to cancel hundreds of services as staff members are isolating l eading to shortages across the country.
In order to provide certainty to customers on lines that are still running, the temporary timetable will start from Tuesday and remain in place until January 28.
The disruption comes as many Scots head back to work after the time off over the festive season.Routes in the central belt will be impacted the most.
A total of nine routes in and out of Glasgow's two biggest train stations will operate on a revised timetable from Monday to Friday this month.
