Celtic slammed for 'shameful' and 'tacky' Shane Warne tribute with sponsor post
Celtic have come under fire after being accused of shamelessly plugging a sponsor while paying tribute to the late, great Shane Warne, who died of a heart attack on Friday. The Scottish Premiership leaders posted a statement on social media saying that everyone at the club was "saddened to hear" of the cricket legend's death. But to fan's dismay, they posted an image of him wearing a t-shirt sporting the logo of Dafabet - their kit sponsor. In the club's defence, Warne had recently appeared alongside Celtic's Australian boss Ange Postecoglou to film a series of videos promoting the betting company, but fans still branded the move "tasteless"."Absolutely shameful promotion. No pictures of him without your club sponsor on show?" wrote one person on Twitter."This is tacky beyond words.
