Celtic forgotten man Marco Tilio will consider a January loan if he doesn’t get first-team action before January. The 22-year-old made his first appearance of the season for the Australian under-23s when he came off the bench to help them beat Qatar 2-1 in a friendly at the weekend.
Tilio, who has seven full caps for the Socceroos, is hoping his involvement with the Olympicroos will see him kick on his return to Celtic in a bid to break into Brendan Rodgers’ first-team.
If it doesn’t then he would be open to a possible loan deal. The weekend was a moment of rare action for Tilio as he has still to make a first-team appearance for Celtic.
The winger arrived at Celtic from Melbourne City in the summer but an early injury left him sidelined and playing catch-up. Tilio was also signed by former manager Ange Postecoglou with Rodgers now having taken over at the helm.
