Burglary investigation in Salford leads to police finding stash of live ammunition

A stash of live ammunition was found at a home in Salford by police following up on a burglary investigation. Officers had arrested two men - aged 19 and 28 - following a call to a house on Ladywell Grove, Little Hulton, at 3pm yesterday (Wednesday).

As part of the investigation, they went on to search another home on Hope Hey Lane - around half a mile away. When they entered, they found a stash of live ammunition.

A further four people - aged 65, 54, 16 and 46 - were arrested at the second address on suspicion of possession of ammunition.
