Arsenal have angered fans by axing their head of international recruitment - Francis Cagigao. The Gunners board announced on Wednesday that they would be cutting 55 members of staff in a restructuring of the club due to financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Daily Mail report Cagigao is one of those redundancies, despite having helped the club spot some of the best international talent for more than 20 years.
The 51-year-old was responsible for scouting Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona's academy, along with bringing the likes of Hector Bellerin and Gabriel Martinelli to north London.And supporters took to social media to voice their concern at the departure."Disgraceful," one abruptly wrote."Shocking stuff," said one."Raul.
