The Secret Footballer, known to be former Reading striker Dave Kitson, has been shot down by several ex-Premier League stars after he staked his claim to become PFA chairman this week.
Kitson, 40, has been extremely critical of the PFA's response to the coronavirus pandemic. Highlighting the launch the #playerstogether campaign which was started by the 20 Premier League captains to support the NHS, Kitson launched a scathing attack on Gordon Taylor and co.
He said: “That certain Premier League players and the captains of the Premier League clubs, under the banner of the '#PlayersTogether' initiative, felt the need to act independently of the PFA in their response to the Covid-19 pandemic, is nothing short of embarrassing.” Kitson also
