mirror.co.ukShaun Wright-Phillips, Fabrice Muamba and Joleon Lescott have been crowned as the winners of the first ever NHS Charities Together Cup, the celebrity FIFA tournament raising money for the Urgent Covid-19 Appeal.
They secured the title with a 2-1 win over Love Islanders Chris & Kem and Shaughna Phillips in the finals on Sunday May 3.
After a 7-0 demolition job by Muamba against Shaughna Phillips in the first match, the second game saw a nail-biter between Wright-Phillips and Chris Hughes.
A missed penalty by the former Man City and Chelsea star, who then squandered a 1-0 lead, proved costly, with a goal in the 87th minute securing Hughes’ victory.
