Steph McGovern revealed that she lied to a teacher and got her childhood bully expelled on her lunchtime show Steph’s Packed Lunch.Steph, who opted for a short curly bob, glasses and a green striped t-shirt for the episode, began the segment by telling her guests that she was “very interested” in their opinions on a recent story.A father had posted on Facebook that he was “proud” of his daughter for hitting the person who was bullying her in school. He said that he had tried to take action but to no avail.

The bully was not punished and his daughter “beat them up”.Steph wondered if her guests supported this view and Simon Rimmer was the first to answer: “If one of my kids was getting bullied and you’ve gone down all the routes of negotiation, try to take it to the school and parents, and it still keeps going on, I think there comes a point when you break.”Simon went on to explain that he thinks if you stand up to the bully, most of the time the bullying stops so he’s “alright with it”.Alan Johnson also agreed that he was “with Simon” on the topic.Luke Kempner then said that you shouldn’t promote “two wrongs making a right”, but he doesn’t completely discourage the thought.Steph then shared an anecdote from her childhood about her experience with bullying. She said that she was teased for being skinny and used to be called “funny bones”.“This girl, that was notorious for bullying me, you weren’t allowed out of school at break time but once I’d nipped out to go to the shop to get sweets and I got caught.“The head of year caught me and said: ‘What are you doing?

Had you been sent out to buy [her] cigarettes?’ and I replied: ‘Yeah, she forced me out’, and she got suspended!”The entire cast and audience all cheered and clapped.
