“Emily in Paris” star Ashley Park is recovering after a life-threatening medical condition put her in the hospital.Park, 32 — who plays Mindy Chen on the Netflix series — revealed on Instagram that she’s been hospitalized in the first few weeks of the new year.“As I sit here processing and recovering from the first weeks of 2024, the only word I can think of is grateful,” she wrote on Friday.“While on holiday in December into New Years, what started as tonsillitis spiraled into critical septic shock, which infected and affected several of my organs.”She went on: “I am grateful that my health has improved despite what we had initially been told.”In her Instagram post, Park is lying in a hospital bed with tubes in her nose and an IV inserted into her wrist. She has her eyes closed as her “Emily in Paris” co-star, Paul Forman, leans in to kiss her forehead.In another shot, he appears to be combing Park’s hair as she’s sitting up.“Grateful most of all to @peforman for being unconditionally by my side through all this,” she wrote.“You calmed my fears and held me through ambulances, three foreign hospitals, a week in the ICU, scary ERs, countless scans and tests and injections, excruciating pain, and so much confusion all while we were alone on the other side of the world far from those we know,” she continued.“I love you Paul.
