Emily in Paris star Ashley Park, Modern Family‘s Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Andrew Rannells braved the rain to witness the Broadway-bound production of Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends at the Ahmanson Theatre on Thursday (February 13) in Los Angeles. Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends is a musical revue celebrating the legendary composer’s illustrious career, spanning “Everything’s Coming Up Roses” from Gypsy, a medley from Sweeney Todd,” “Somewhere” from West Side Story” and most unforgettably, “Being Alive” from Company.
The show features an ensemble cast of Broadway veterans, including Bernadette Peters and Lea Salonga, delivering heartfelt renditions of Sondheim’s most beloved works.
The Los Angeles run serves as a prelude to the show’s Broadway transfer, with previews set to begin on March 25 at the Samuel J.
Friedman Theatre and an official opening on April 8. Tickets for the Los Angeles performances, running through March 9, are available now at Center Theatre Group LA.
