Steph McGovern admits 'rule' with partner has led to 'cracking' rows

And even though it can cause explosive arguments, she admitted it prevents things from spiralling out of control by bottling things up.The former Packed Lunch star has kept her personal life very private, with her girlfriend remaining very much elusive.The only thing fans know is that she works as a TV executive and the pair welcomed a daughter together back in 2019.But some may say keeping things out of the public eye is much better for everyone involved!While chatting to Yours magazine, Steph opened up on how they deal with disagreements."My partner and I have this brilliant rule where, if we’re miffed about something, we have 24 hours in which to voice it," she said."It means we have some cracking rows, but we solve things fairly quickly."It might be over something small – like the dishwasher – but that’s the reason why you’ve got 24 hours to make your point..."So it doesn’t grow into a massive collection of things one of us has done."She went on to explain that "effort" in a relationship is a major key to a happy life with your other-half."What I’ve learned about relationships is you have to put in the effort," the TV star told the publication."It’s about listening."She went on: "For example, if I’m ill, I like to be left alone to get on with it – no fuss."Whereas my partner likes to be taken care of."What I used to do when she was ill was project what I would want, so I’d leave her alone."We’ve had to chat about these things.
