Scots surgeon banned from treating patients after sexual advances towards junior colleagues

surgeon has been banned from treating patients for three months after he made a series of unwanted sexual advances towards a string of junior female colleagues.

In total four women including three junior doctors and the partner of a male colleague made complaints saying Consultant Dr Gerard Gillan, 47, had been chatting them up for "sexual thrills."Glasgow -born Gillan - who worked as an Oral Maxillofacial surgeon at Homerton University Hospital in Hackney, London - admitted sexually motivated misconduct towards three of the women but was cleared of sexual behaviour towards a fourth at the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service.
