Scots will still be banned from travelling to seven countries for non-essential reasons from this Monday. Earlier this week, the Scottish Government announced that 47 countries would move off the red list from 4am on October 11.
It means that fully vaccinated Scots will be able to jet off to destinations such as Mexico, Thailand and Brazil without the need to quarantine on their return to Scotland from next week.
The decision came days after the rules on international travel were streamlined, with the green and amber lists merging for travellers that have been given both doses of the Covid vaccine.
