Brits are potentially facing several rainy days, with the Met Office issuing rain warnings for downpours in the coming week, before the country is expected to be hit by a cold blast and lows of -10C.
The weather forecast for today (October 28) is also looking grim. Bands of rain, likely to be especially heavy on hills, will sink slowly south-east to lie across south-west England, Wales and north-east England by this evening.
There is further localised flooding possible in the west. On top of the rain, it will be very windy but not too cold.
