Susanna Victoria Reid (born 10 December 1970) is an English television presenter and journalist. Reid was a co-presenter of BBC Breakfast from 2003 until 2014, along with Bill Turnbull and Charlie Stayt.
She has been a co-anchor of Good Morning Britain since 2014, and currently presents the programme alongside Piers Morgan and Ben Shephard.
She finished as a runner-up on the eleventh series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. She also presented Sunday Morning Live on BBC and Save Money: Good Food on ITV.
Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Madeley has stopped looking at social media whenever he is on TV.He is fed up with trolls throwing a virtual “bucket of ordure” in his face.Madeley - often nicknamed Alan Partridge after the bungling telly host played by Steve Coogan -used to look at Twitter to gauge public opinion. He would surf the net when he co-hosted TV’s Richard and Judy chat show to see what people thought. But back then it seems folk were a lot kinder than now.He explained: “In the past, when Twitter was just getting into its stride, I would go on after Richard and Judy to see what people were saying about the show because it was interesting, sometimes critical, but not stupid or cruel.“Now, after doing Good Morning Britain, it’s like having a bucket of ordure thrown into your face.
So I don’t look at it.”Madeley says that unlike some in the telly industry, he has had to learn to live with being scrutinised over everything he says and does on the box.He adds: “You have to learn to live with it, because if you can’t your life is going to be torture.“I’ve known some presenters pack it in because they couldn’t stand it.
I don’t blame them.“But you have to find a space in your head to tuck all those insults and jibes away. And of course sometimes to accept they might be right, you might have asked a stupid question.”He has been swapping the GMB presenting job with a number of other male hosts, including Judge Rob Rinder, Adil Ray and Ed Balls. However, Susanna Reid, who first joined the show back in 2014, remains a permanent fixture after Piers Morgan's exit last year following his refusal to apologise for his comments about Meghan Markle.
