Prince Harry will “regret” his "disgraceful" decision not to attend Prince Philip’s memorial, a royal commentator has claimed.The Duke of Sussex announced on Friday (March 11) that he would not attend Prince Philip’s memorial on March 29.A spokesperson for the Prince confirmed he will not be making the trip from California to attend the event.The decision was tweeted by Harper’s Bazaar royal editor Omid Scobie, who added that Harry is hopeful he can reunite with the Queen soon.
He tweeted: “A spokesperson for the Sussexes confirms that Prince Harry will not be returning to the UK for the Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Prince Philip on March 29. “He does, however, hope to visit the Queen as soon as possible.” The Queen was reportedly told of Harry's decision just 15 minutes before the announcement was made regarding him not attending his grandfather’s memorial service.
The Prince has received both public condemnation and support for his decision on Twitter. GB News host Dan Wootton criticised his plans and argued that the Duke will regret his decision.
