Premier League cult hero Benjani looks unrecognisable from his playing days with the likes of Portsmouth and Manchester City having taken his first role in management in his native Zimbabwe eight years after retiring.
The 43-year-old former forward has been named manager of Zimbabwean Castle Lager Premier League side, Ngezi Platinum, having worked on his coaching badges in Northern Ireland last year alongside former Blackburn defender Chris Samba.
Benjani was known for his entraining goal celebrations and unique style during his time playing in England, but his trademark long hairdo is no longer after he opted for a change in look.Benjani now rocks a shaved head as he steps into the managerial side of the game, and no doubt dreams of a return to the Premier League as a coach down the line.In a chat with ZWNews last year, the former pro discussed how Benjani is not his actual name.He said: “My real name is Mpenjani.
