Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Rio Ferdinand admits he is no longer actively looking to take up a director role at Manchester United as he turns his attention to launching a new hate-free digital advertising and social content platform.

Ferdinand, 43, was speaking to the Manchester Evening News to promote WeAre8, a social media platform which is looking to give back to its audience by giving users money whenever they watch adverts on it.

Through watching two minutes of advertisements a day within the app, it is suggested users will be able to 'reclaim their economic power, support charities, help WeAre8 continue to carbon offset and contribute to the development of 8Stage talent.' READ MORE: Manchester United are finally making decisions that should have been made years ago Ferdinand, who is a major investment partner with WeAre8, is looking to flip the $400 billion advertising industry on its head by redistributing wealth to social media users and creating a platform free of hate. "We're in an economic crisis at the moment," the former defender said. "The climate and the environment are under threat, and hate speech is being embraced more than ever on social media.

We are hoping to alleviate those problems, all by doing small actions every day that will enable people to have tangible change. "It's the fact you can watch adverts for only two days a day and make massive change.
