However, the American responded aggressively, eventually winning in the 10th after a flurry of attacks left Ugas unable to see out of his right eye.Referee Laurence Cole had initially sent Ugas to the corner with just under a minute left in the eighth round, and the ringside doctor spent a while checking the fighter's peripheral vision.
Spence kept unloading punches though, and eventually forced the stoppage.As a result, Ugas was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, for immediate treatment.
And one week later, he took to Twitter to reveal the harrowing extent of his injury, posting a picture along with the following message."Thanks to everyone who is sending in their prayers.
