A police officer was left injured after being struck by a car and thrown across the bonnet. West Midlands police said the police officer was injured while approaching the suspected stolen car in Wolverhampton at about 9:15pm on Monday night.
Officers spotted a grey Audi RS driving erratically on the Black Country Route and they stopped the vehicle at lights at the junction of Millfields Road and Manor Road.
One of the officers was walking towards the car when it accelerated towards him and sent him over the bonnet. The car then drove off in the direction of Bilston town centre.
