Omar Apollo has shared new single ‘Less Of You’ – taking from from his upcoming second album ‘God Said No’.‘Less Of You’ sees the Indiana-born singer taking a new musical direction, and it’s inspired by his experiences of nightlife in London while he was recording ‘God Said No’. It follows the singles ‘Spite’ and ‘Dispose Of Me’.‘God Said No’ was produced by Teo Halm and features Mustafa and Pedro Pascal. The title is Apollo’s interpretation of the phrase ‘Lo que sera, sera’, translating to ‘Whatever will be, will be’ or ‘Is it what it is’.Released on June 28 , the album looks back on a relationship, and Apollo borrowed the title from a comment his friend made while processing the relationship: “I gave it my everything, and God said no.”It was born from the time just after Apollo released his debut album ‘Ivory’, embarked on a headline tour, and supported both SZA and Billie Eilish.

The Brockhampton member first previewed the album at various shows in LA and New York, where he revealed some rumoured song titles.

On Wednesday (October 4), the 27-year-old dropped the music video for the sinister track, which Abstract co-directed with Cole Bat.The video follows Abstract, his imaginary friends (who are furry human-size characters) and a creepy-looking doll they all treat like a baby.

Pulse Music Group has signed punk band Turnstile to a worldwide publishing deal via a creative joint venture with Rick Rubin’s American Songs. The agreement covers Turnstile’s entire song catalog, including their 2021 record “Glow On,” which boasts Grammy-nominated singles “Blackout” and “Holiday.” “We have been waiting a very long time for the next great rock band to emerge and feel very fortunate that we will get to work with Brendan and the band,” commented Scott Cutler, co-CEO of Pulse Music Group. “Welcoming Turnstile to our Pulse Music Group roster is a great example of what we set out to do creatively when we formed our joint venture with Rick Rubin. Brockhampton leader Kevin Abstract has reassured the group’s followers that a new album is indeed on the way, and will be released before the end of 2022.As confirmed earlier this year, the group’s seventh album will be their final outing. They revealed back in January that 2022 would be their last year active as a group, with farewell shows being held at this year’s Coachella. It was there that Brockhampton announced their last album, following the news up shortly thereafter with a teaser trailer.June saw the group drop a cover of Kool & The Gang‘s ‘Hollywood Swinging’ (released as part of the soundtrack for Minions: The Rise Of Gru), as well as a new solo single from rapper Merlyn Wood, however since its announcement in April, news on their final album has been slim.Breaking his long-held silence, Abstract wrote in a Tweet yesterday (October 2): “BROCKHAMPTON ALBUM BEFORE YEAR IS OVER FUCK I AM EXCITED THANK U FOR BEING PATIENT.”He went on to reveal that the album would be titled ‘No Cap’, and shared what he claimed to be its cover art (the latter earning some criticism from fans).
